Kazaa

Kazaa works really well in China. I feel even less bad about it (if that's possible) because they don't even have western music here, except for "The Music of the Academy Awards". I have been listening to the same stuff I did back at home... wilco, love psychedelico, halcali, microphones, m83, manitoba...

All my students download movies all the time. They know all about BitTorrent, "bt" as they call it. They also use the chinese version of aim, qq. It seems better than aim... but more annoying. I've been trying to get them all to sign up to friendster. That could really catch on here... I've been seeing lots of filipinos and malaysians on there recently, I guess it's spreading there. Problem is it's down or strangely messed up so much of the time new ppl signing up don't get to see the cool parts of it.
