Big idea:
- Setup: every player sets waypoints to create a path for their units
- Action: Units follow paths shooting/attacking/picking up items
The idea is to use hidden information about optimum paths and opposing army disposition to create a game where a somewhat random strategy is required.
You get points/money for picking up valuable items, killing enemy units, reaching predefined goals, etc.
During Action, you may be able to interact with units - using their targeting abilities to somewhat modify their behavior.
Unit types:
- Ranged
- Melee
- Splash Damage
At the beginning of every round units can reset their position or continue from where the left off. If they continue, it becomes more like Baldur's gate, a strategic non-realtime combat simulation.
